May's Featured Employee : Kenny GURIAH, Business Engineer
We’re spotlighting Kenny GURIAH, a business engineer at JENOPTEC NT for the past six years.
The business engineer plays a key role as the liaison between clients and technical teams. He manages projects from design through to completion, ensuring both client satisfaction and project profitability. His role is essential for bridging the gap between technical innovation and business needs.
What is your professional background?
During my undergraduate studies, I started as an engineering apprentice at a small company specializing in laser systems for biology and super-resolution microscopy. There, I designed a simulation bench for a company in the military sector, as well as a laser bench dedicated to studying the phenomenon of cavitation. I also participated in a study on the use of a DLP (Data Loss Prevention) system coupled with a square-core fiber, with applications in biological imaging and cinematic projection.
Subsequently, I joined a company specializing in the analysis of large-scale structures, where I held the position of optoelectronics technician. My responsibilities included installing sensors on various buildings and analyzing their behavior under thermal and mechanical stresses.
Finally, I joined Jenoptec NT, first as a technical assistant, before advancing to the position of sales engineer.
What are your responsibilities?
I am currently a business engineer at JENOPTEC NT, a position I have held for nearly six years. My responsibilities include project management, the design and development of new products, and the assessment of technical feasibility and project profitability in response to customer needs. I also contribute to the improvement of production processes and provide technical support both internally, to the Jenoptec NT teams, and externally, to our customers.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy working closely with the company’s various departments on a daily basis, as it allows me to exchange ideas and actively contribute to the collective success of our projects.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
I am competitive, passionate, and a dreamer
What drives you in life?
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, which nurtures my creativity, as well as traveling, which gives me a window into other cultures. I also spend time tending to my plants, which I find very soothing.
If you were a dish, you'd be...
